Watercourse Foods is one of those places that every time I go I order a bagillion things. Everything I’ve ever ordered has been delicious. Watercourse Foods has an extensive menu, although not everything is vegan on the menu (everything is vegetarian however), they’re happy to veganize most any dish on the menu. Its one of those vegetarian restaurants that even my meat-eater friends love. They also do special events, so check out their site for any upcoming ones. Jeff and I had a Valentines Day Dinner there once, where they had guest vegan chefs and it was unforgettable!
Their specialty is comfort food and I always get the Country Fried Seitan and it is delicious. It tastes so much like chicken fried steak that it freaks me out, the texture is great as is the flavor. Its breaded seitan with a vegan gravy, mashed potatoes, and a green bean casserole.
They even have specialty vegan cheese platters and house made kombucha. I also love their vegan nachos with the chipotle aioli. Once I got back from Kenya we went to Watercourse Foods and pigged out (we also had a coupon….that’s my excuse….). We got 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 2 deserts!
Here’s what we got: vegan nachos (we can’t help ourselves they’re great), vegan sweet chili eggrolls, beet risotto (its just as creamy as any cheese variety!), polenta Florentine, vegan ho hos (yes yes) and vegan key lime pie.
Don’t worry we had some leftovers (which were all gone the next day….). But seriously, this place is awesome for all vegans, vegetarians, and meat eaters alike. Take your friends comfort yourself with some vegan goodness and show Watercourse your vegany love!
